What it keeps is stored by your browser on this device. None of it is sent to us.
What’s kept on this device
bipw:— Your workspace — the things you have captured, the bubbles you have made, the starting points you used recently, and which device permissions you have declined. Kept in local storage.bubble:— Your settings on this device — theme, palette, reduced motion — along with this device's identity, who you recently chose to send to, and when it last saw each bubble. Kept in local storage.bubbles:— Work in progress inside a bubble — an unsent draft, where you had got to, receipts recording what you have already seen or answered, and your 18+ answer on this device, so nothing asks you twice. Kept in local storage.bubble-identity— This device's key pair. It is what makes you the same person when you come back, and it never leaves the device. Kept in IndexedDB.bubble-— One database per bubble, holding that bubble's contents, the files in it, and anything you have changed that has not reached the other people yet. This is why a bubble opens and works with no connection at all. Kept in IndexedDB.bubble-app-shell-— A copy of the application itself, so it starts when you are offline. It holds the program, not anything you wrote. Kept in cache storage.
Each name ends with the bubble or person it belongs to. That’s the full list.
Clearing it
Delete everything, in You, under Privacy and your data, removes everything above except the app itself. Clearing site data in your browser removes it too.
Either way, this device’s identity goes with it. Without your recovery kit, it can’t come back.
What clearing cannot reach
A copy you’ve already downloaded, and bubbles you’ve shared with other people. Those stay where they are.
